Lost Quiver Killer

I've had my QK 6'2" for just over a year now and have surfed it 200+ days so far. Here on the central coast of Australia, we have usually have 2-5ft days so I mainly use it as a thruster but when it gets slow I use it as a twin or twin with trailer and when it gets overhead and barrelling I put the quad on. It performs very well in the bigger stuff and is super fun as a twin on smaller days. I surf a lot of shallow reefs and my confidence in the construction lets me just go for gold and not worry about damaging it. It has a tiny little pressure dent on the bottom but it's only noticeable in the right light and nothing on the top. I've banged, dropped and flown with it multiple times and I never get that dreaded feeling before inspecting for damage. Lib Tech has a customer for life.

I don’t wanna surf any of my other boards since getting this board dialed. I’m 40, 195lbs and purchased the 6’4”. After predominantly surfing longboards this board has now become my go to in all conditions.

I’m 47y/o, 5’9”, 180lbs. My QK is 6’2”, 37.4L. I’ve ridden the board in Hawaii for just over a year in head to ~2xOH+ surf. I’ve really enjoyed it. First 6 mos, I rode it as a quad w/large fcs2 performer fins. Very quick, but pretty stiff. Last 8 mos or so I set it up as a thruster. Same fins. Not as fast, but much better maneuverability. W/ both fin set ups the board holds a line well in larger, more powerful surf. Pretty good rail turns, although I think the rails lack refinement. Paddles easy & catches waves well. I prefer it as a thruster. The board is pretty versatile, but doesn’t really work for me until the waves are at least head high. I can make it work in smaller surf, but it feels stiff and cumbersome. As for durability, the board has taken some abuse. Big wipe outs mostly. I’m also, heavy footed. After I5 mos, the deck is pretty worked. Under my front toe side, glassing and foam has become spongy. There are also multiple stress fractures in the carbon deck stringer and a 4-5” cut/tear in the glassing that appeared around/about my front foot heal side. I haven’t had any big impacts with any solid object (ie reef, rocks, other surfboards). I assume it’s it’s from my front foot when I pop up or my knee when I drop-knee to grab rail when I take off on steep backhand waves. I’ll throw a little repair on the tear, but the rest of the top skin is looking pretty sad. It’s been good, but I think this relationship is about over.

Was stoked to finally see a decent semi eco board on the market! I’ve always been a massive fan of lib tech snowboards so thought I would give it a go, however i was a skeptic as to whether the new materials used would compromise on the performance. Pleasantly surprised and impressed with how well it surfs! I’m stoked with this board. Hats off to lib tech!

This is the best board ever. Just took this on a 3 week trip to Portugal. Surfed everything from point breaks to dumpy beach breaks this board handled it all, without doubt this is the one board quiver!
