Choose just one board for the year and you're not spending a ton of time in the park? The Banked Country is it. Fast and powerful riders will enjoy this board a lot! The boards rails turns, has plenty of pop, and floats in powder extremely well. Perfect contact lengths, solid flex but not too stiff. Kick tail to switch up the landings and comes in a ton of sizes. Size up for added race speeds and bigger sends.
In my opinion, when it comes to snowboarding The Cummins Family are generations of the world’s best all around shredders. Their experience, intelligence and all around feel of what a snowboard should be, is built in this design. Buy this board you will not be disappointed.
Coming off a 2016 Riders Choice 162W, I decided to buy a new Banked Country 163w. My riding style has changed to more carving and bombing groomers and this banked country delivers! It turns razor sharp and holds an edge way better than my old board. Traversing across trails is way easier and cutting through ice/chunder feels more confident. The C3 camber pops from edge to edge unlike the C2 on my older board. When you really lay into the rear foot during carving the board digs in deep and turns hard, it's very satisfying. I can feel this board is less forgiving at the end of the day when I'm tired, but it's worth it and keeps you focused. The banked country gave me what I wanted for 50+mph groomers and pencil line carving. Can't wait to set the bindings back and find some pow. 21 years on GNU boards, 6'0" 320lbs
This thing does it all. From techy sniper lines on cliffs to hot laps on groomers, it provides confidence and precision on all terrain in all conditions. I have never had more fun on a board. Super poppy but still floats nicely in powder, carves like no other but can still butter around in the park if you feel like it. Absolutely incredible.
She rips, does everything its description claims. Charge it hard, go floating, land switch, slash some poles. Whatever you are trying to do, this thing goes. Best board I’ve owned. 26 years deep in this.
