Flex

How easily does this snowboard bend under pressure? A soft flex is great for fun maneuverability while a stiff flex is better for aggressive high speed hill bombing.

Built for Mountain Men

If you’re looking to drop panties then you need to ride the right board. There’s not a better board on the market designed nor dreamt of that will shred the whole mountain like the skunk ape will for the full figured man. Turns in any condition like butter. Build for big feet the rails stick like you’re lips on your first tit. This board is mint!

The perfect all mountain board.

I have never had one second of buyers remorse on my 169w. I am 6'4", 215 lbs. with a size 11 boot. Needed a board that can handle my leverage and power from size. I love ripping groomers and this board is sooo steady; no chatter or speed wobbles, just effortless controlled edge hold. Shovel nose and small set back floats on top of powder to; no need for a extra powder specific board if you have the Skunk Ape. The stiffness and c2 camber deliver great pop on jumps and side hits on the mountain. I do a lot of tight tree and mogul riding. My only knock is that the 169 is a little hard to swing back and forth. I enjoy the challenge and the total package of the board across the whole mountain more than makes up for it. I plan on buying the 165 next. Thank you, Lib Tech, for letting us big fellas rip!

Big and Fast Board

I've ridden this once, but you can tell right away, its big, fast, stable, poppy, and holds an edge like nothing I've been on. I am 6'2", 205 lbs (without gear), size 13 boots, and I got the 170UW. I've been ridding for 20 years, would consider myself an advanced+ type of snowboarder. I might be on the smaller side of what the 170UW is designed for, but I was looking for a big bomber type board. This is it. I am coming from a Rome mod rocker 161w, which I used as my park board and then 'everything' board. The Skunk Ape feels a hell of a lot bigger (which it is), but significantly more stable, faster, and waaayyyy better edge hold. It honestly was surprising to me. On groomers you can just bomb, or carve quickly back and forth, and be confident doing either. For a board this wide, I was able to turn edge to edge easier than expected. Note, its certainly a different feeling than a board with a 265 width, but if you're rocking 13+ boots, no more worry about toes catching an edge on a hard turn. I haven't had a change to hit more than a few inches of powder, but through chunky tracked out powder, its super stable and doesn't get upset doing it. Pumped to try this thing in deeper powder at speed. I did take it through some trees a few times, this is probably one thing this board is not meant for. Through tight trees it was much harder to maneuver quickly in tight areas. Combination of length, width and weight, and the pure speed it carries means you are working much harder to move the board for the next turn. If I know i'm going to be in trees all day, I would take my 161w. If you are looking for a big board that charges hard, you got it here.

TRULY AMAZING BOARD FOR BIGGER RIDERS!!!

I am 6'3", 228 lbs., Size 14 boot, XL bindings, I purchased the 170UW. This board is unlike any other board I have ever ridden, if you think you need to sacrifice performance by riding a "Big Guy" board, the Skunk Ape destroys that myth. This board is a beast, you feel it underneath you, but it is not cumbersome, in fact, the camber profile allows this board to turn quickly. In fact, I learned to ride switch on this board, it is an amazingly stable and fun deck, and people are shocked to see how nimble this thing is. If you are a bigger person, do yourself a favor, this is your do-everything ride.

Giant Man's Dream

I'm 6'4, 300 lbs, with a size 15 boot. I can shred on this board, my toes or heels don't drag, and this board holds an edge like a samurai sword.
